Cambridge Innovation Parks is a sustainability-focused commercial development, created to deliver the "Go-To" work-live-play-relax experience for Cambridge’s most exciting early stage and growth companies. By 2024, the park will encompass three interconnected campuses in the North, West, and South.
Located at Waterbeach, Cambridge, Cambridge North currently hosts two office buildings of 45,000 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft. at 100% occupancy, totaling approx. 65 businesses. CIPL is planning to add two additional office buildings, each 40,000 sq. ft. in 2020. One will contain meeting rooms and seminar space and the other will be a day nursery.

CIPL will work with NTU and Vertech Capital through the Centre of Innovation in Energy (EcoLabs) programme to provide Cambridge Park North as a living testbed. The testbed will enable pilots for innovative solutions related to green buildings, building management systems, RE integration, energy efficiency, and e-mobility.
Goal 1: Energy and Renewables for application in both new build scenarios and in retrofitting of older buildings.
New products or products under development for renewable energy capture or generation in the built environment; Solar Power; PV glass technologies e.g. PV Solar, other local generation technologies including piezoelectric power generation.
Goal 2: Building Control Systems
Examples of new control and operational systems to enable smart and efficient use of resources and building performance optimisation in use.
Goal 3: Energy Storage Technologies for the Built Environment
Companies offering local energy storage and supply systems off grid e.g. Connected Energy, to enable peak power energy lopping and storage and local off grid utilisation. Other novel or emerging technologies to maximise value from local energy storage and utilisation technologies including car charging.
