Dr Tan has over 16 years’ experience in the engineering and research field. At DNV GL, Dr Tan is Country Manager Singapore, DNV GL – Energy, he manages the Renewable and Energy advisory services in CTC (Clean Technology Centre) in Singapore. He also provides a variety of asset management, power system and renewable related consultancy services; including feasibility studies, condition assessment reviews, smart monitoring system design and risk assessments.
Prior to DNV GL, Dr Tan worked on various wind and solar farm projects in China, Thailand and India at Parsons Brinkerhoff. He has also served as an electrical engineering lecturer at the Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia, where he supervised Masters and PhD students undertaking their final year research on power electronics, renewable and wind energy. He was actively involved in research on power electronic converters, and in the wind and solar renewable energy fields.
